Registration required:
  • Managers/supervisors, register your students for the Employment Opportunity for Students with Disabilities (EOSD) by completing the registration form.
  • New! Students can register themselves for the EOSD program.

Please note that EOSD events are only open to students with disabilities.

Winter 2024

January 16, 2024 1pm to 2pm EST (in English and French) Panel Event: The Ability in Disability It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in ECCC’s Employee Accessibility Network’s (EAN) empowering event, The Ability in Disability. During this panel discussion, you will have the opportunity to learn about the unique journeys of federal public servants with diverse disabilities and how you can help to create a barrier-free and inclusive workplace for all. Lawrence Hanson, ECCC’s Associate Deputy Minister and Nicole Cote, the Disability and Accessibility Co-Champion at ECCC, will share their lived experiences, insights, and champion diversity, inclusion and accessibility! Guest panelists will join Lawrence and Nicole for this dynamic conversation!

Join ECCC to celebrate triumphs and continue the dialogue on disability — and Ability — in the face of challenge.

You Belong Here! – Infinity’s Welcome Session for Neurodivergent Students Are you a neurodivergent student that is joining the federal government for the first time? If so, this session is for you! Infinity invites neurodivergent students and new employees, as well as allies to a virtual welcome event where we will discuss:


- What is Infinity and how does it support neurodivergent employees in the Government of Canada?

- What does it mean to be neurodivergent in the federal public service?

- Strategies and supports available to neurodivegrent employees

- Making the most out of your student term


This session will involve a presentation, followed by an open Q&A session with leaders from Infinity about any questions you may have as a new GC employee.

EOSD Summer Welcome Event EOSD Welcoming Event

An opening event for all EOSD participants. Students will receive an overview of planned events and learn about the mentoring program and post-graduate employment opportunities. The event will include a keynote speech from the Deputy Minister Champion for Federal Employees with Disabilities, Tina Namiesniowski. You will also get the opportunity to hear a testimonial from Mégan Le Stum about their experience in the EOSD program. *This event has already taken place. Mentorship Session: Panel Discussion on Navigating the Conversation on Accommodations This event will include three EOSD mentors answering questions in a panel discussion format. Discussions will focus on understanding the Duty to Accommodate and the workplace accommodation process, most common types of accommodations and how they can help and tips and tricks for requesting accommodations and speaking to your manager.
