Welcome to the Interdepartmental Organizational Change Network Bienvenue au Réseau interministériel du changement organisationnel.
You may wonder, what the IOCN does as a Community of Practice (CoP) or as a Community of Interest (CoI). We embrace Organizational Development (OD), Change Management (CM), and Mindful Change Leadership (MCL).

What is OD and CM?

Although there are a number of definitions of Organization Development (OD) and Change Management (CM), we offer the following as a source of information to understand the essence of the field of OD and CM:

  • Organization development is a system-wide process, led by clients, to increase the effectiveness and well-being of their organization, through the application of action-research and human behavioural science knowledge.
  • Change management is a structured approach to transitioning individuals, teams, and organizations from a current state to a desired future state. It includes both organizational change management processes and individual change management models, which together are used to manage the people side of change.

Qu'entend-on par DO et GC?

Bien qu'il existe un certain nombre de définitions du développement organisationnel et de la gestion du changement, nous offrons ce qui suit comme source d'information pour comprendre l'essence du domaine du DO et de la GC : 

  • Le développement organisationnel est un processus systémique, dirigé par les clients pour accroître l'efficacité et le mieux-être de leur organisation au moyen d'un processus de recherche-action et de la connaissance des sciences comportementales.
  • La gestion du changement est une méthode structurée pour permettre la transition des personnes, des équipes et des organisations d'un état actuel à un état souhaité. Elle s'appuie sur des processus de gestion du changement et des modèles de gestion du changement individuel qui tous les deux sont utilisés afin de gérer l'aspect humain du changement.
