Indigenous Employee's Circle (IEC)
The Indigenous Employee's Circle is the network for First Nations, Métis and Inuit employees of ESDC. The network also welcomes allies who support a positive and inclusive workplace for Indigenous employees.
The Indigenous Employee Circle is a strong voice for Indigenous employees. The IEC is a trusted and respected voice for ESDC employees and all levels of management.
The Knowledge Circle for Indigenous Inclusion (KCII)
The Knowledge Circle for Indigenous Inclusion serves as a link between public service managers and Indigenous employees. The KCII provides culturally appropriate guidance, support and advice to Indigenous employees and public service managers in a safe space.
The mandate of this Circle is to support transformational change within the public service for Indigenous inclusion by leveraging expertise, collaboration and consistency.
A Designated Indigenous Awareness, Recruitment, Retention and Advancement Team
The purpose of this team is to remove barriers to Indigenous recruitment, retention and advancement.
Indigenous Awareness and Reconciliation Training
The learning events are open to all ESDC employees and are designed to foster reconciliation and transform relationships between non-Indigenous Canadians and First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in a respectful manner.
Celebrating National Indigenous History Month
The National Indigenous History Month honors First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and their stories.
