Start your career at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) Student Employment and Employment After Your Studies If you are a full-time student, we encourage you to apply for the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP). Make sure you meet the eligibility requirements. If you have previously worked at the GoC and are looking for a student job or a job after your studies, complete the form to register for ESDC's Inventory for Students and Newly Graduated Students. Types of employment If you have never worked at the Government of Canada (GoC), you should look for : Casual employment Determinate Contract (end date) Indeterminate Contract (no end date) Find a job Check out available jobs on GC Jobs regularly and don't be afraid to apply if you qualify Add a filter to find jobs at ESDC and create an alert so you don't miss anything. Become a member of Facebook groups (GC New Grads, Entry Level and Mid-Career Positions - Unofficial/Informal) to share your resume and view job openings.
