*This provision aims to maintain obligations that have already been acquired to avoid losses where only the proportion of the minority population has changed. This is a concept of acquired bilingual designation.

 

*The Regulations will continue to set forth the circumstances in which there is significant demand and where an office must offer services in both official languages.  

*Cette disposition veut préserver des obligations déjà acquises pour éviter les pertes là où seule la proportion de la population minoritaire a changé. Il s’agit d’un principe de désignation bilingue acquise.

*New offices opening in the community will need to apply the Regulations to determine their language designation and implement new language obligations where required.

*Le Règlement continuera à préciser les circonstances selon lesquelles il y a une demande importante et là où un bureau doit offrir les services dans les deux langues officielles.  

*Les nouveaux bureaux qui ouvrent dans cette communauté devront appliquer le Règlement pour déterminer leur désignation linguistique et mettre en œuvre de nouvelles obligations linguistiques là où cela est requis.
