|I started working for the Canada Revenue Agency in the Spring of 2008 as a co-op student from Simon Fraser University. I first worked as a “loaned” representative for United Way of the Lower Mainland doing fundraising and soon after, I was offered a position as a Communications Officer in the Public Affairs Branch – Communications Division. Upon completion of my Bachelor of Applied Science in Media and Communication, I was offered a permanent position through the student bridging program. Although I have spent the majority of my career in Human Resources, I have also worked in Collections and Legislative Policy and Regulatory Affairs.
I am a proud member of the Western Region Young Professionals Network (WRYPN) and the Visible Minority Network (VMN). I truly love the work that I get to do with them.
I love painting, sewing and gardening. Above all, I love being a mother to my daughter, Nya.
I try to be thankful everyday and treat others, how I like to be treated. I fail sometimes, but won’t stop trying.
|J'ai commencé à travailler pour l'Agence du revenu du Canada au printemps 2008 en tant qu'étudiante coopérative de l'Université Simon Fraser. J'ai d'abord travaillé comme représentant «prêté» pour Centraide du Lower Mainland pour la collecte de fonds et peu de temps après, on m'a offert un poste d'agent des communications à la Direction générale des communications et des affaires publiques. À la fin de mon baccalauréat en sciences appliquées en médias et communication, on m'a offert un poste permanent dans le cadre du programme Intégration des étudiants. Bien que j'aie passé la majeure partie de ma carrière dans les ressources humaines, j'ai également travaillé dans le domaine du recouvrement ainsi que les Politique législative et des affaires réglementaires.
Je suis fier d'être membre du Réseau des jeunes professionnels de la région de l’Ouest (WRYPN) et du Réseau des minorités visibles (RMV). J'aime vraiment le travail que je fais avec eux.
J'adore la peinture, la couture et le jardinage. Par-dessus tout, j'aime être la mère de ma fille, Nya.
J'essaie d'être reconnaissante tous les jours et de traiter les autres, comme j'aime être traité. J’échoue parfois, mais je n’arrêterai pas d’essayer.

|I was born in Jamaica and moved to Toronto, Ontario with my family, when I was 13 years old. I graduated from the University of Concordia, Montreal with a Bachelor of Commerce and later obtained my Master of Business Administration (MBA), for Wilfried Laurier university, Waterloo, Ontario.
