Registration required:
  • Managers/supervisors, register your students for the Employment Opportunity for Students with Disabilities (EOSD) by completing the registration form.
  • New! Students can register themselves for the EOSD.

Please note that EOSD events are only open to students with disabilities.

May 31, 2023 1:00 - 4:15 p.m. (EST) Start Your Term with GC Students Throughout the summer the importance of networking and mentorship in building your career has been a reoccurring topic. Now is your opportunity to put those into action! The event will use breakout rooms to allow students to connect with mentors in smaller group sessions. Mentors’ information will be available beforehand to ensure students can connect with the most suitable matches. Students will have the opportunity to meet, ask questions, and build connections with potential mentors as well as grow their network. Virtual (MS Teams) Link to register

June 27, 2023 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. (EST) Presentation on AAACT Lending Library & GoC Workplace Accessibility Passport This activity will be an opportunity to learn about two accommodation supports services available to students with disabilities who work for the GoC. Virtual (MS Teams) Link to come

July 11, 2023 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. (EST) Mentorship Session: Panel Discussion on Navigating the Conversation on Accommodations This event will include three EOSD mentors answering questions in a panel discussion format. Discussions will focus on understanding the Duty to Accommodate and the workplace accommodation process, most common types of accommodations and how they can help and tips and tricks for requesting accommodations and speaking to your manager. July 25, 2023 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. (EST) Mentorship Session: One-on-One Speed Matching This event will use breakout rooms to match students with mentors, who are current public servants with lived experience having a disability, in smaller group sessions.
