June 2021

June 9 TBC National Student Welcoming Event (Bilingual) Treasury Board Secretariat MS Teams ISEO a will be having a 10-minute presentation to present student support initiatives to all students of the government of Canada.
  • This will create awareness for students to participate in the initiative if they haven't registered already.
  • The presentation will vover what students receive such as networking opportunities, learning and development opportunities, and retention opportunities.
June 21 1:00-2:30pm EST National Indigenous Student Get Together Public Service Commission MS Teams To strengthen the representation, recruitment, development and retention of Indigenous people through targeted recruitment of talented Indigenous university or college students across Canada.
  • To present measures to support onboarding, development and work experience for all Indigenous students hired through the program.

This activity will be an opportunity for Indigenous students hired to learn:

  • Meet the team that lead ISEO
  • Different supports of the ISEO initiative
  • Mentoring opportunities
  • Diversity of career opportunities in the Federal Public Service
  • Networking opportunities with Indigenous public servants
June 30 1:00-2:00pm EST Presentation on Indigenous Languages Public Service Commission MS Teams This activity will be an opportunity for Indigenous students to learn about Indigenous languages and the impact in the Federal Public Service.
  • Presentation given by the Indigenous Languages Team and Canadian Heritage
