* Implement the commitments under the Greening Government Strategy to achieve net-zero operations by 2050 and enhance climate resilience by 2035.

* Reduce the environmental footprint of government real property and fleet operations by setting and meeting absolute greenhouse gas reduction targets.

* Integrate sustainability principles and life-cycle management into procurement, operations, and service delivery through green procurement and responsible resource use.

* Strengthen the climate resilience of departmental services, activities, and assets to mitigate climate-related risks such as floods and infrastructure damage.

* Monitor and disclose environmental performance data (GHG emissions, waste management, water use) and collaborate across departments to share best practices and innovations.

* Develop, update, and implement departmental plans (e.g., sustainable development strategies, real property and fleet management plans) to align operations with the Government of Canada’s greening objectives.
