Do you think that moving up is the only direction to take your career? Is developing others part of your plan or something you dread? In partnership with the National Managers’ Community, this event brings together Government of Canada leaders for a candid conversation about horizontal and vertical career moves.

After this session, participants will be able to:

  • compare the benefits of horizontal and vertical career moves
  • recognize what competencies a good manager uses to lead a team
  • reflect on their preferred career trajectory and if it includes the management stream
  • identify learning opportunities for current and future leaders
