Research on banded topic page – David Pépin and Lana Stewart, Digital Transformation Office, GC

  • Vaccine banded page based on DTO usability testing results
  • New page consolidated for provincial information, cross links to those pages (as a driver to the provincial sites)
  • The municipal sites will be doing the actual vaccination
  • We’ll see in the upcoming months the journey from federal to provincial to municipal pages

Discussion items:

  1. Preparing for a third COVID wave?
    • Not much, as teams aren’t focused on this yet
  2. Are you working with local health units web counterparts? E.g. Appointment bookings, body of research
    • Joanna Lilley (Yukon): currently working with First Nations governments from the beginning to make sure they have the necessary information; and liaison with municipalities
    • Tyler Pantella (BC): BC would like to provide more ideal links on the vaccine nad provincial travel pages for Canada.ca (Ed and Samira to respond)
    • David Blomme (Nova Scotia): CanImmunize rollout
    • Believed that it was going to be a Canada wide system but isn’t clear at the moment across other departments/agencies
    • Yukon is using CanImmunize, and it crashed the first weekend
