Canadian Heritage Guiding our interventions to support Official Language Minority Communities (OLMCs) and to promote both official languages

Today, we have a wide range of studies and data on factors that contribute to the communities’ vitality of OLMCs and to the promotion of official languages in Canada. Based on these studies, the Canadian Heritage Official Languages Branch has developed two frameworks on vitality factors and promotion of linguistic duality to guide its interventions.

Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat Update on the Second Official Language Training Framework

This session will provide an overview of the Second Official Language Training Framework and its key deliverables. The framework stems from one of the OL reform measures under TBS’s responsibility regarding language training - a new second language training framework that will aim to better respond to the diverse needs of learners and provide support to institutions in their language training approaches.
