Low Contract Value Process Update - November 28, 2022

Effective November 28, 2022, Procurement and Assets Management Directorate Division (PMAMD) updated the process for Low Dollar Value (less than $10K) contracting requirements.

This updated process was approved by the Chief Financial Officers of Health Canada and Public Health Agency of Canada, in order to modernize procurement and to align with Treasury Board Directive on the Management of Procurement. Previously, PMAMD conducted a review step in SAP of all contracts issued under the Cost Centre Managers (CCM) delegated authority. The review step has been removed from the SAP workflow and PMAMD will no longer review Low Dollar Value contracts (less than $10K).

The following information is provided to support Cost Centre Managers (CCMs) at Health Canada and Public Health Agency of Canada to issue their LDVs.

The templates for HC and PHAC CCMs and CCAs to use when issuing an LDV contract can be found on the Tools and Templates page.

The templates and checklist provided are documents that may be required when issuing a LDV contract.

Further information on procurement documentation by requirement type can be found on the Procurement documentation required in SAP (link is not working) page.

All Security Requirement Checklists (SRCLs) must be sent to the Contracts Security mailbox: [[1]]
