|Brooke Kassen commenced his career in 1999 at Drumheller Institution.  He has occupied positions at Red Deer Parole, Saskatchewan Penitentiary, Edmonton Parole, Edmonton Institution, Kent Institution, Mission Institution, Fraser Valley Institution, Pacific Institution, Pacific Region Community District Office and Regional Headquarters.  Over his 25-year career with the Correctional Service of Canada, Mr. Kassen has served in a variety of roles and at all security levels.  Positions held include: Parole Officer, Unit Manager, Assistant Warden Correctional Programs, Assistant Warden Operations, Deputy Warden and Warden, A/District Director, A/Assistant Deputy Commissioner Integrated Services and Assistant Deputy Commissioner Correctional Operations.

Mr. Kassen was appointed Assistant Deputy Commissioner Correctional Operations in July 2022, following numerous Executive positions in the Pacific Region.  Mr. Kassen has undertaken a number of large leadership initiatives in his career, which include opening of 3 offender living units, clustering of 2 Institutions, and a population management report used for both a Regional and National analysis.
