Thanks to a partnership with the Canada School of Public Service, all federal employees are invited to attend the webcast discussion "Changing the Narrative on Diversity, Inclusion and Official Languages" on February 7, 2023, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. (ET).

Official languages are sometimes considered a barrier to employment and career advancement for members of certain equity-seeking groups. The modernization of the Official Languages Act is an opportunity for the Government of Canada to challenge and change the discourse on diversity, inclusion and official languages.

This panel will bring together speakers from the public service and private sector to discuss measures to address the challenges faced by equity-seeking groups and to support their career progression. With different objectives in mind, these individuals will share their experiences and talk about how they are helping to change the narrative on diversity, inclusion and official languages.

Participants will learn how official languages can be used to promote bilingualism, diversity and inclusion in Canada.
