GCTools/Achievements 2020-2021

Purpose
This page captures examples of how the GCTools (GCcollab, GCwiki, GCmessage, GCpedia, and GCconnex) have been leveraged in unique ways to enable collaboration and further Government of Canada projects and initiatives in 2020-2021.
Most of the use cases reflect the GC's priorities of this FY, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, including:
- Working from Home
- Mental Health
- Emergency Preparedness / Business Continuity
- Procurement and health support related to COVID-19
- Learning
- Diversity / Social Change
- Technology advancements / MS 365

| SKTSO Employees | The Saskatchewan Tax Services Office at Canada Revenue Agency needed a way to communicate and stay connected with each other once everyone was sent to work from home. The SKTSO Employees group was leveraged during National Public Service Week to host virtual celebrations. Each day, there was a new theme highlighting a different division in the organization. Activities during the week included polls on working from home, awards ceremonies, photo-sharing, etc. Moving forward, the group will be used to check in with employees and have non-work related discussions to keep everyone engaged. |

| Federal Youth Network (FYN) | The Federal Youth Network fosters and promotes engagement, innovation, and career development through in-person and virtual programming. FYN attempts to be visible on all social platforms to reach their target audience wherever they are and to stay connected. They have heavily relied on GCcollab and GCwiki this fiscal year because of their “off network” accessibility. They appreciate that the GCtools are free to use, and that they can store and share documents. |
