WORD OF WELCOME
The Council of the Network of Official Languages Champions is pleased to launch the Dare newsletter, a new biannual publication intended for Official Languages Champions. The purpose of this newsletter, which consists of brief articles and vignettes, is to inform you about current official languages files, community initiatives and upcoming events. It will also feature interviews with Official Languages Champions who will talk about the innovative activities they have implemented in their organizations, as well as a section on the new resources that have been added to the Official Languages Champions’ Toolbox.
Why was the title “Dare” chosen? The Council of the Network of Official Languages Champions has been using this slogan for over a decade to encourage employees to take risks and dare use their second official language, as well as to promote a true culture of bilingualism within the federal public service.
We hope you will enjoy this publication. Please send us your comments and suggestions so that this evolving resource can meet your needs.
Happy reading!
