Being included in the RPL program does not guarantee a job in the federal public service. The program will work with you to find a position that suits your skills and interests. Candidates are encouraged to be open to different types of positions. Candidates who have specific preferences, such as exclusively remote work, positions outside the National Capital Region, or positions in a specific department may face additional challenges in securing a position.

The ETP was designed for strong candidates who performed well during the interview, but were not included in the RPL pool. Candidates in the ETP are eligible for EC-04 positions and this pool is also valid for approximately 2.5 years. ETP has an internal promotional site that is accessible to hiring managers who can view available candidates when recruiting. Additionally, ETP candidates have the option to reach out to hiring managers directly to inform them of their inclusion in the ETP and availability for hiring.
