*The GOC recently announced its intention to introduce the Next Generation HR-to-Pay system, intended to be a longer-term, sustainable, end-to-end solution to replace the existing Phoenix pay system. The next generation solution may also support the full hire-to-retire employee lifecycle, and cover aspects such as: recruitment, training, performance management and other HR processes and systems, and interdependencies with pay.  The PSC must continue to reinforce with TBS our mandated responsibility for the recruitment component of an end-to-end HR to pay solution and demonstrate we are working in collaboration with the TBS on digital modernization of the recruitment system according to new GC Digital Standards.

Through a strong partnership with TBS, we ensure alignment with the Next Generation HR and Pay initiative towards a common goal of a seamless end-to-end solution that puts users front and centre.
*Because the recruitment system is part of an overall HR continuum and existing and future systems need to work with one another, this is why we will work in partnership with the Next Generation initiative to align our efforts.

*Collaborating with NextGen at the ADM and DG level to ensure a unified approach

*Leveraging existing governance such as the NextGen ADM committee and PSRS Interdepartmental Steering Committee

*Establishing a horizontal function to facilitate working level collaboration with NextGen on business needs (e.g. business requirements integration points)
