COVID-19 Travel theme working group (canada.ca): Terms of Reference
Purpose Statement
The COVID-19 travel working group is collaborating to improve the findability and usability of canada.ca information for travellers.
Members
- Global Affairs Canada and Privy Council of Canada (Co-chairs)
- Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada (Digital Transformation Office)
- Public Health Agency of Canada
- CBSA
- IRCC
- Transport Canada
Meeting schedule
- Every Monday at 1:30 for all hands check in meeting
- Agenda and action items posted to the wiki; forward agenda items always welcome
- Ad hoc working meetings to brainstorm solutions, to co-create content for the web, or to review usability testing as needed
Work context
- Focus on optimized web content that is driven by research (analytics, tracking top tasks and usability testing)
- Work is interdepartmental, collaborative, incremental and iterative
- Effective web content reflects policy and program realities while enabling users to find information and complete tasks effectively.
- Other tactics will be considered: improving metadata and applying structured data to surface content.
Evaluation (Success)
The success of the working group will be determined by performance measures set out by PHAC/HC at the beginning of COVID-19 work.
