Michael Mohammed has worked for the Government of Canada for about 17 years, during which time he has held a variety of roles in regulatory development, corporate risk analysis, environmental assessment, nuclear emergency preparedness, issues management, and policy development functions. While he is not an information and data governance specialist, he does have a solid understanding of how important a role information governance plays in the delivery of complex programs and projects. Michael holds two master’s degrees from Rutgers University, an Honor’s Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Allison University, and he is a certified Project Management Professional. During his time in the Government of Canada, Michael has worked in both the National Capital Region and in the regions, including in “isolated post” environments. Michael also has experience in both national security, Indigenous engagement, international collaboration, and GC-wide policy development contexts. Michael’s hobbies include reading books on subjects ranging from science fiction to geological science, listening to live music, traveling to interesting places, and building his own electronics.
