Learning Paths
Help grow digital talent and skills in the government of Canada
What is a learning path?
A learning path is a set of learning resources on specific subjects that learners complete to gain the skills they desire.
Learners might need to follow a predetermined sequence to complete all courses/modules, or they might have the flexibility to proceed in a sequence of their choosing, depending on the structure of the path.
A learning path can involve courses that use various learning methods, such as in-person, online, group learning and self-paced modalities.Learning Path for M365 Administration
As part of our ongoing commitment to develop digital talent across the Government of Canada, the Digital Talent and Leadership (DTL) team within OCIO has created a learning path aimed at upskilling IT employees in M365 Platform Administration.
This learning path supports the enterprise’s commitment to attract, develop and retain top IT talent as outlined in the Government of Canada Digital Talent Strategy.
This initiative will enhance the skill set of employees, contribute to the overall success of digital teams across the government of Canada, and foster digital talent retention.
Learning Path for Digital Executives
As a team, we help support the talent management of hundreds of current and aspiring executives in the digital space by providing career coaching and guidance. These leaders make a significant impact on their team and how well their organization performs.
We need to help ensure that our leaders have access to the right tools and resources to improve digital service delivery across government.
What we're building
The learning pathways for digital executives will help to guide the learner’s journey by setting a clear path to reach their individual learning goals. The purpose of the initiative is to produce a learning tool for government of Canada executives in the digital space. This learning product will include courses, mentorship opportunities and other resources to guide learners.
The learning path is presented to learners in three steps.
- Core courses - these are courses are considered a good starting point for digital executives.
- Subjects - The user is able to choose courses from three subjects depending on their interest and learning needs.
- Other resources - Includes additional resources like videos, articles and mentorship opportunities.
