In 2015, [https://www.esa.int/Applications/Observing_the_Earth/Copernicus/Canada_joins_Sentinel_collaborative_ground_segment Canada joined the Sentinel collaborative ground segment] to facilitate Near-realtime (NRT) access to Sentinel satellite data. CCMEO retrieves Sentinel-1,2,3 data from the [https://colhub.copernicus.eu/ Copernicus Collaborative Hub] over a high speed science network and stages it on a Canadian relay site with reliable download speeds for Canadian users.

CCMEO provides this service using a Product Transfer System (PTS) to pull EO products from Europe and then stages the data on EODMS with a life of 14 days. While this limited access has operationalized the use of European data in key [https://www.gcpedia.gc.ca/wiki/Earth_Observation_Data_Management_System_(EODMS)#COPERNICUS_CCMEO_RELAY GC programs], *public* NRT access to more European missions is being considered.
