In partnership with the National Managers’ Community, this event brings together Government of Canada leaders for a candid conversation about horizontal and vertical career moves.
Learning Objectives:
After this session, participants will be able to:
- compare the benefits of horizontal and vertical career moves
- recognize what competencies a good manager uses to lead a team
- reflect on their preferred career trajectory and if it includes the management stream
- identify learning opportunities for current and future leaders
Speakers:
- Isabelle Racine, Executive Director, National Managers’ Community
- Marie-Chantal Girard, Senior Assistant Deputy Minister, Employee Relations and Total Compensation (ERTC)
- Natasha Cote-Khan, Canada Free Agent, currently on assignment at Transport Canada where she is a Senior Communications Advisor
- Muhammed (Ali) Khan, Diversity and Inclusion lead, Federal Youth Network
