Demystifying the Building Blocks of the GC Hiring Process

Description:

Your career aspirations as a federal public servant can only take you so far if you do not understand the Government of Canada’s unique hiring process. Join staffing and recruitment experts as they break down job postings and explain frequently used terminology. This session will provide valuable tools that you can use throughout your career.

Objectives:

After this session, participants will be able to:

  • understand what is requested in a job posting
  • establish if they meet the essential qualifications presented in a statement of merit criteria
  • apply for positions and provide the required information
  • anticipate the next steps in the process
