The Role of Managers Throughout the Procurement Process
The federal procurement process is designed so that the purchase of goods and services is done fairly, openly and transparently.
This informative event will highlight the roles and responsibilities of public service managers throughout the procurement process. It will also focus on the importance of collaboration between managers and other functional experts, as well as how to meet operational needs while adhering to policies and values and ethics principles.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the federal procurement process, and the essential skills and resources needed to effectively manage their procurement-related responsibilities.

FYN Future Leaders Forum
Federal Youth Network (FYN) In-person Learning Days: A full day of career development held in 26 cities across Canada and featuring hands-on activities, insightful discussions, and networking opportunities to support public servants’ career growth.
FYN Future Leaders Forum : A leadership development day geared towards public servants at all levels who are exploring a leadership role as their next step in their career or who are new to leadership positions and are looking to develop their leadership skills.

Managers workshop: From Awareness to Action - Leveraging the GC Workplace Accessibility Passport
The Accessibility, Accommodation and Adaptive Computer Technology (AAACT) Program, in partnership with the Office of Public Service Accessibility (OPSA) have recorded their dynamic two-part workshop designed for federal public service managers to deepen their understanding of the Passport. From this workshop, managers will gain the tools to implement meaningful changes that promote accessibility and equip all employees to succeed. Better Accommodation Project
The Office of Tina Namiesniowski, the Deputy Minister Champion for Federal Employees with Disabilities, is seeking feedback from federal employees, managers and practitioners on evidence-based tools under development by the Better Accommodation Project team.

New Course: Untangling Misinformation and Disinformation at Work
As stewards of public trust, public servants play an important role in supporting the integrity of Canada’s information ecosystem. As a companion to Untangling Misinformation and Disinformation, this CSPS course provides strategies to recognize, prepare for, and respond to misinformation and disinformation in the workplace. Participants will examine the importance of finding and sharing accurate information and how these strategies strengthen public trust.
Review the strategies with your team and discuss how you can apply them to your work.

Call-out HR and Pay Manager Focus Groups
The team responsible for the training HR-to-Pay for Managers (COR137) within Treasury Board Secretariat, Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer (TBS-OCHRO) will be hosting focus group sessions. The purpose is to gather feedback on the scenarios and the embedded complementary tools available on the HR and Pay Learning Community GCXchange page. They are looking for section 34 managers in the core public administration, ranging from seasoned to newly appointed managers.

The National Managers’ Community (NMC) is pleased to offer you a day of professional development and networking on June 24th in Edmonton.
The program includes a two-part coaching workshop for managers and supervisors facilitated by Susan Badame and Julie Wills, NMC Regional Leads, ICF Certified Coaches and Peer Coaching Circle Leaders.
Part 1 – Coaching Techniques to Move to Solutions: As managers and leaders, your team members look to you to address their workplace concerns and come up with concrete solutions for action. Join us for this focused session where we will introduce effective coaching techniques to help you and your team untangle workplace concerns and challenges constructively.
Part 2 – Peer Coaching for Effective Leadership: As managers, it can feel nearly impossible to find and make time for your own growth and learning. Join us for an insightful session where managers and leaders will experience firsthand the power of peer coaching circles. Through a live demonstration followed by hands-on practice, participants will engage in presenting real challenges they are facing.
In the afternoon, a panel of senior leaders will share their experiences and offer concrete perspectives relevant to the issues of today. This will be followed by a Speed Mentoring event where senior leaders will join participants at their tables to answer questions and share their knowledge and experience.
