Plan Your Career
GC Students and the Federal Youth Network (FYN) are pleased to invite you to their event on career planning for students and graduates. This session, entitled "Plan Your Career", will inform you about human resources (HR) topics such as appointment processes, student bridging, types of employment, ways to find a job and multitude of tools to continue your learning.

Audrey-Anne Racine (Elle/She/Her)

Human Resources Advisor for the Diversity Outreach Recruitment Retention and Advancement (DORRA) Team at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), National Student Network Ambassador and GC Students Co-Chair
Audrey-Anne Racine (Elle/She/Her) works as a Human Resources Advisor for the Diversity Outreach, Recruitment, Retention and Advancement (DORRA) Team at Employment and Social Development Canada (EDSC) and her tasks are mainly focused on the needs of the students. She is the National Student Ambassador at ESDC and co-chair of GC Students.
Audrey-Anne completed her bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources in 2020 and is in the process of obtaining a master's degree in project management from the Université du Québec en Outaouais. She got her first public service job as a student in 2019, then went through the student bridging process in May 2021. Some fun facts about Audrey-Anne: we nickname this former swimmer A2, her cat is called Toupie and she always mixes between the word Tuesday and Thursday.

Advisor for the Diversity Outreach Recruitment Retention and Advancement (DORRA) Team at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), Deputy Minister University Champion (DMUC) Initiative Representative, National Student Network Ambassador and (Acting) GC Students Co-Chair
Priyanka Sharma (Elle/She/Her) works as an Advisor for the Diversity Outreach, Recruitment, Retention and Advancement (DORRA) Team at Employment and Social Development Canada (EDSC) and mainly focuses her time on the Deputy Minister University Champion (DMUC) Initiative, student recruitment events and other projects regarding the recruitment, retention and advancement of students and employees. She is the National Student Ambassador at ESDC and acting co-chair of GC Students.
Priyanka joined the Federal Public Service as a student in 2019 and bridged into a full time position in 2020. She began her career at National Defence (DND) where she had the opportunity to develop and support the Student Onboarding Program. In mid 2021 she moved over to ESDC and with her passion for recruitment and advancement of students, she has continued to work with student onboarding. On her spare time, she loves to bake desserts and pastries, watch movies and go on outdoor adventures (in the summer).

Zineb Lahyane (Elle/She/Her)

Human Resources Advisor, Public Service Commission (PSC)
Zineb has worked in Human Resources, both in the private and public sector, for approximately 5 years. While completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa in Human Resources Management, Zineb began her journey in the Government of Canada. Zineb is now a Human Resources Advisor, in a Developmental program, at the Public Service Commission of Canada. Much of Zineb’s role involves promoting the Public Service Commission’s programs for students and graduates and she can provide you with tips and tricks on applying to jobs in the federal public service.

Human Resources Advisor, Public Service Commission (PSC)
Michel Bougie has been working as a Human Resources Advisor in the National Recruitment Branch of the Public Service Commission of Canada since October 2021. Along with his colleagues, Michel promotes the various student and graduate employment programs within the federal public service to colleges and universities in the National Capital Region and Eastern Ontario.
Michel began his career in the federal public service with Service Canada as a Program Officer and later worked in staffing at the Canada Border Services Agency. Prior to that, he worked as an international affairs consultant and market analyst in the Quebec public service. Michel holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the École nationale d'administration publique and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Concordia University.
