Lead, Digital Communication & Change Management (AS-05) Are you a creative bilingual AS-05 (CBC) with communications experience who is interested in transformation and change initiatives? The Digital Services Branch (DSB) at the Courts Administration Service (CAS) is looking for a Lead, Digital Transformation Engagement and Change to help develop and implement the engagement, communication and change management activities that will support our service and digital transformation agenda. We need someone with the following experience: - Experience in writing and editing communications products. - Experience writing and implementing communication strategies or plans. - Experience in providing strategic advice and guidance to clients and management. - Experience in building and maintaining relationships with external partners and / or stakeholders. - Experience in providing communications services to clients. - Experience developing change management plans and provide strategic guidance related to their implementation. Manager, Service & Inclusive Design (IT-04) As CAS’ Manager, Service Design, you and your team will play a pivotal role in designing the end-to-end journey of various services. Your work may involve the creation of, or change to, transactions, products and content across both digital and offline channels provided by different parts of CAS. You will be central to ensuring CAS creates products, solutions and services that are useful, delightful to use, accessible and enable business outcomes. You will leverage various design methods (such as  https://methods.18f.gov/ or https://www.ontario.ca/page/service-design-playbook) to produce deliverables and insights to inform the delivery of quality services and digital solutions. You will be responsible for managing, planning and performing suitable design research activities to support design discovery (e.g. interview, workshops, task analysis) and design validation (e.g. usability testing, analytics assessment). You will analyze results to design new services or product design changes that will enhance service performance. You will clearly communicate product and service visions to product teams and stakeholders and support them during product development. You will retain and recruit more junior service designers and user researchers and leverage professional services as required to meet the demand for service from your unit. You will manage your team and the work environment to enable your team members to do their best work. Your will work with DSB’s management team and stakeholders to ensure we optimize the value derived from our investments in digital services by ensuring we solve the right problem, the right way. Ultimately, you and your team will provide strategic advice and actively contribute to the improvement of access to justice as well as the quality and performance of CAS services; ensuring that they meet and exceed the expectations of the Courts and those who appear before them. Project Manager (IT-03) We are looking for an experienced project manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in project management and will be responsible for leading our projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Cloud Cyber Security Officer (IT-03) We are looking for an experienced Cloud Cyber Security expert with at least two years' experience in cloud security. As the Cloud Cyber Security Officer, you will be the cyber security lead on CAS’ cloud journey. Utilizing your expertise and through collaboration, you will ensure the design, architecture, and implementation meet compliance requirements and is in line with industry best practices Additional responsibilities include providing advice and guidance to management and project leads on all aspect of cyber security in the cloud and acting as the lead for cloud security monitoring and incident handling. Lead, Digital Strategic Policy (EC-04) Are you interested in working in a dynamic organization embarking on a digital transformation journey?  We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Lead, Digital Strategic Policy. In this position, you will play a key role in developing digital policies that address the complex challenges and opportunities arising from CAS’ Digital Ambition agenda. Demand & Governance Officer (AS-03) We are looking for a demand and governance officer to join our IT department to support the demand management process and IT initiatives governance. You will support the  aligning exercise of the IT resources with the business needs, prioritizing the IT projects and requests, and  compliance with the IT governance framework. You will also support the collaboration and engagement activities  with various stakeholders, such as business units, IT teams, vendors, and senior management, to share and communicate the demand status, issues resolution, records of decision, action items, dashboards, reports, etc. To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or a related field, and at least three years of experience in supporting the demand management (intake management process for new IT-enabled  projects or products submitted by clients to governance for prioritization exercise) or IT governance (ex. supporting the coordination IT governance meetings, communication, records of decisions, action items, follow-ups, etc.). You should also have strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, and be familiar with the best practices and tools for project management and governance. Senior Data Analyst (Data Architect) (EC-06) The Court Administration Service is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and detail-oriented data analyst to join our dynamic team.  As a data analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to extract valuable insights that drive informed business decisions.  You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and create data models. Your expertise in data analysis and visualization will play a critical role in optimizing our operations.   If you are passionate about uncovering the stories hidden within data and possess strong analytical skills, we invite you to join our team. We are requesting the change from the IT classification to an EC since the position responsibilities belong in the data sciences rather than in IT.  To deliver data driven solutions, we require employees that are strong in data modeling, analysis, architecture and analytics. These core strengths are in line with the data analyst positions in the EC classification rather than in the IT which mainly is concerned with hardware and DBA (database maintenance). Staffing Process

First and foremost, this page is used to encourage at-level public servants to come work at CAS through a secondment, deployment or Interchange Canada agreements. GC Free Agents are more than welcomed!

If no at-level candidates are found, a competition may be used to staff a vacant position. Keep an eye out for open positions posted on jobs.gc.ca.

Although each hiring process is different, here’s a video that provides an overview of each of the steps and provides tips on navigating the application process in the GC.

Classification

To accelerate staffing, some of the opportunities listed here are being shared in advance of being formally classified. Meaning that the proposed language profiles, levels and groups - which impact rates of pay - are tentative and may change following the results of a formal classification assessment.
