FYN In Person Learning Days: NCR Event
Description
The Federal Youth Network (FYN) will be hosting an in-person learning event in the NCR in partnership with the NCRYPN. This full-day event will allow participants to learn about career development with tangible examples and experience sharing on a variety of topics. There will also be ample opportunities built in for networking.
- When: June 28, 2023
- Where: Ottawa Marriott Hotel - 100 Kent Street, Ottawa, Ontario
- Time: 8:30 to 4:30pm
Learning Objectives:
Over the course of the day, learners will:
- Optimize their use of the GC Jobs platform for future career development;
- Contribute to the design of the future of the GC;
- Reframe rejection as a tool to improve future performance;
- Get answers from experts on tough career questions; and
- Network with other local new professionals.

The Federal Youth Network (FYN) will be hosting an in-person learning event in the NCR in partnership with the NCRYPN. - Time: 8:30 am to 4 pm ET
- Note: In keeping with the Career Boot Camp theme of your career your way, participants will choose their workshops upon arrival to tailor their day to their interests.

- Identify key factors in making an appealing resume
- Share the importance of a network and how to network across the GC from anywhere
- Continue to connect with individuals from their region and build on new relationships
- Recommend activities and best practices to enhance organizational culture while working remotely or in a hybrid model
