Policy Analyst, Global Affairs Canada (GAC)[[File:Melissa_Fortune_-_Speaker_Bio_Cards.pptx_(6).png|alt=Marissa Fortune - Marissa Fortune has worked across the Federal Public Service since 2015 including in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC), Employment and Social Development (ESDC) and Global Affairs Canada (GAC) where she currently works as a Policy Analyst.    She was originally hired by GAC in 2020 to coordinate policy for Canada’s campaign for a seat on UN Security Council, she then helped manage the department’s nearly $8 billion International Assistance Envelope before joining the Future of Diplomacy team which is tasked with departmental modernization  Marissa is an active advocate for youth engagement internationally. She represented Canada at the Youth G7 Summit in Paris in 2019, currently serves as the Executive Programs Lead with the Young Diplomats of Canada, and was invited to testify at the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade on behalf of the Young Professionals Network at Global Affairs Canada in September 2022.|left|600x600px]]

She is currently on assignment at Treasury Board Secretariat leading the Mentorship Plus and Mosaic Leadership Development programs for her department. Her work focuses on addressing workforce gaps among employment equity and equity seeking groups.  In her time as a public servant, she has enjoyed working on complex and rewarding files in the areas of workplace wellbeing and the future of work for which she received a Deputy Minister's award and a Chief Financial Officer Award respectively, as well as intellectual property, diversity and inclusion and environmental conservation. In addition to TBS, she has worked at Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada  Alison is also member of the Ontario College of Teachers and holds a Masters in Teaching from the University of Toronto. Her passion lies in employee development and facilitation. In her free time, she is found offering yoga and meditation classes in her community. She lives, resides, and works on the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.]]
