Wilfreda Edward-Dolcy is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Open Data. She is currently the Lead Open Data Specialist on the Strategic Policy Team within the Open Government Directorate at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. There, she specializes in advancing the release and re-use of open government data, as part of a wider mandate to mainstream open government in Canada. She is passionate about the impact of open data for problem solving, and advocates for this as a board member to the Canadian Open Data Society and the Government Co-chair to the Open Data Charter Implementation Working group. She is a sought-after writer and speaker, recently delivering a presentation at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation’s, Workshop on Facilitating Open Government Data.
