Navigating the public service can take time and experience to perfect, but being in a mentorship can facilitate this process. The benefits of mentorship can range from personal guidance and support to workplace opportunities and building credibility and professional skills.  

The 2SLGBTQQIA+ community faces a number of barriers working in the government. For example, the public service is still lacking the data necessary to assess the situation appropriately. The Living Library and mentorship program can support employees from this community to grow throughout the public service to be in positions to enact positive changes.
