The Place du Portage complex was built in the 1970s. This project consists of a complete overhaul of both the inside and outside of the building which consists of: <br>
• 9 towers <br>
• commercial areas<br>
• 4 basement levels<br>
• a 3-level underground parking garage <br>
<br>
As part of planned midlife renewal work, we are doing much-needed renovations, and replacing systems that have reached the end of their useful life.
<br><br>
The Government of Canada (GoC) is investing in key strategic assets, including in PDP3, to provide federal public servants with workplaces that are modern, sustainable, healthy, safe, accessible and collaborative.
<br><br>
The PDP3 project considers Government of Canada (GC) priorities, including: <br>
• greening <br>
• [https://women-gender-equality.canada.ca/en/gender-based-analysis-plus.html Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA+)] measures<br>
• universal accessibility <br>
• inclusivity, including reaching out to Indigenous people <br>
• wellness <br>

The renewed PDP3 building is being designed to meet the modern workplace standard for the GC known as [https://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/biens-property/mt-wp/mt-wp-eng.html GCworkplace] which offers greater flexibility in where and how people work and suits the needs of a post-pandemic, hybrid workforce.
