The Public Health Agency of Canada has launched the Strengthening the Voice of Science (VoS) initiative. VoS is a whole-of-agency phased plan to break down the barriers to both doing and using public health science, and support building and sustaining PHAC science capacity in the short, medium and long term. VoS proposes improvements in five areas: People and Culture, Scientific Value & Excellence, Leadership & Governance, Partnerships & Networks, Tools & Processes. It is aimed at improving the activities and processes that support the '''way''' we do science and not intended to address '''what''' science we do (which is determined by broader government and Agency priorities).
