Last year, the working group came together to create an ambitious mandate and vision. We hosted an amazing two day launch event in the Fall of 2021 which brought together senior officials at Indigenous Services Canada and Crown Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs and other leaders the Diversity and Inclusion space.

A final report has been developed will provide a summary of what we heard during the event and help the Working Group set priorities into the future.

In 2022, Working Group members are particularly focused on the development of a unique mentorship tool designed to remove barriers to career development supports. Members are also conducting an employee engagement survey to gain an understanding of the priorities for visible minority employees in Indigenous Services Canada and set priorities into the future.
