| Starting out as a high school teacher of French as a first language in her hometown of Sherbrooke, Québec, Annie became a lecturer in the Education Faculty at Université de Sherbrooke. After moving to the National Capital Region (NCR) in 1998, she took a position with the Public Service Commission as Language Assessor and then joined the Management Trainee Program (MTP) in 2002. She left the NCR for a regional assignment to hone her skills in financial management and supervision with Canadian Heritage in New Brunswick.
