|Runa Angus has been with the Department for Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) since 2019, first as the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Minister and then as acting Corporate Secretary, responsible for Cabinet Affairs, Parliamentary Affairs, Access to Information and Privacy, Governance, Correspondence, the Departmental Liaison Office, and Executive and Ministerial Services.
Runa joined the Federal Public Service in 2011 and has served in various capacities throughout her career. Prior to joining WAGE, Runa served at Canadian Heritage and the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, where she worked on a number of issues such as: review of the legislative frameworks for telecommunications and broadcasting, net neutrality, the regulation of social media and the online media sector, and fake news.
Runa holds Civil Law and Common Law degrees from McGill University and is a Member of the Barreau du Québec.
