− | Pina D’Intino is an internationally recognized accessibility speaker, strategy and integration Leader and entrepreneur working at Statistics Canada. For more than 20 years, she has helped businesses achieve inclusion through diversity, accessibility, and leadership. She has helped many large organizations including financial service providers, global consulting companies develop and implement accessibility best practices and meet compliance and regulatory requirements. She provides training, strategic direction and oversees the development of accessibility roadmaps, plans and projects. During her career, she worked at a Canadian-based International bank for 30 years, has been engaged with different provincial and federal departments as an advisor on several internal projects and communities of practices. Pina is currently working at Statistics Canada, as an Accessibility Strategy lead and works with several inter-departmental workgroups to promote accessibility across the Government of Canada. Pina is the founder and past co-chair of the Canadian Financial Institute on Assistive Technologies (CFIAT), a past board member of the G3ict’s International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), . Pina is a contributor on several US based projects with the NFB Switchboard, the ICT Legal Symposium and projects at the IDRC including the We Count project . She continues to co-Chair the Financial Services research for G3ict. She has a Masters degree in Inclusive Design from OCAD and University . Pina has received awards and recognition for her leadership and work, at G3 iCt . In 2013, Pina received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her work on the promotion of accessible employment.
