== Evolving GCmobility ==
GCmobility 1.0 was first sponsored by SSC in 2019 and ESDC became the executive sponsor for GCmobility 2.0 in May 2021.
In partnership with the Canada’s Free Agent (CFA) program, GCmobility has and continues to provide value to the various home departments who manage Free Agent Co-hort cell including NRCAN, TBS, TC and ISED.

GC Mobility started in 2019 under the sponsorship of SSC with the goal of providing solutions to mobile and embedded employees who frequently move between departments or who serve multiple departments on an ongoing basis. The initial vision was for mobile and embedded employees to have a single stack of technology that could easily move between departments. This would include a single laptop, mobile device, e-mail address and MyKey credential.

GCmobility 2.0 is pivoting from technology solutions to solving pain points experienced by the employee. Solving these pain points may lead to technology solutions in the end, however there are opportunities to be explored related to the People, Policies and Processes that directly affect the lived employee experience for moving between departments.
