Founded by Indigenous students in the Public Service, the National Indigenous Student Circle (NISC) is a network for Indigenous students that work in the Government of Canada. Working closely with the Aboriginal Center of Expertise (ACE), this network is an extra space for students enrolled in the Indigenous Student Employment Opportunity (ISEO). The goals of starting an Indigenous Student Network in the Public Service include:

*Provide networking opportunities and information sharing for Indigenous students in the region;

*Increase the sense of belonging within the federal public service amongst Indigenous students;
+
*Improve the Indigenous student employment experience to encourage retention and continued recruitment within the federal public service;

*Encourage and promote participation in departmental events; and to

*Gain valuable feedback on the Indigenous student/youth experience within the departments.
