It took her close to a decade to find herself and be able to start sharing her story. Today, Véronique is a sought after speaker with the Federal Speaker’s Bureau on Healthy Workplaces and has had the chance to share her story.  She has learned that she will never be “cured” of depression, but she can live an amazing life regardless. She has a successful career, newly married, has an amazing family and has found her passion again. Depression didn’t make her a failure, it only made her stronger.

For over 17 years, she specialized in cyber security and critical infrastructure protection within the public and private sectors. Elizabeth has developed technical standards for the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC), American Bar Association and NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization). She holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (Dalhousie) and an Executive MBA from the University of Ottawa.

I arrived in Canada 40 years ago as a lone teenager and believe to have the won the lottery of life with strangers’ help. Math got me to university. Not speaking a word of English led me to body language and reading people. The combination is a prosperous life with gratitude.
