Colleagues,
This is further to my message of July 25, 2019 setting out the statistical reporting requirements for the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act for April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020.
It has been observed that Table 3.1 Disposition and completion time in the 2019-20 Statistical Report on the Access to Information Act lacked a disposition category to account for requests for which institutions declined to act with the Information Commissioner’s approval, in accordance with section 6.1(1) of the Act.
This has now been corrected, and a line has been added to Table 3.1 - Disposition and completion time to add “decline to act” as a disposition. No other changes were made to the form. The updated Guide and reporting form are attached.
The statistical reporting requirements for the Privacy Act remain unchanged. They are attached as well for ease of reference.
As in previous years, the 2019-20 statistical reports will be due to TBS in early May. Details will be communicated in the new year.
