|Emilie Salinas is a seasoned leader at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), where she heads the New Beginnings Initiative. Creating partnerships with academia, industry, and government, she develops business opportunities and brings technology forward to find solutions to Canada’s most pressing challenges. She has Central Agency experience as a Technical Advisor at the Treasury Board Secretariat, Office of the Chief Information Officer (TBS-OCIO) leading the cloud migration technologies for Departments. In that capacity, she was designated as a subject expert matter for Data Residency offering insights and guidance at public events. She proactively volunteered to assist in revising COVID-19 product and service vendor applications. Through a collaborative effort involving multiple departments, including Public Services and Procurement Canada, TBS, and NRC, she demonstrates a strong commitment to innovation, efficiently qualifying Artificial Intelligence suppliers for the GoC.
