Digital Transformation Office (DTO) update

This month there are many commemorative days and awareness days such as:

  • cyber-awareness
  • heritage days
  • Women’s Heritage etc...

Canada School of Public Service has them listed on their website.

Please use your work email to access the GC priorities meetings as well as Slack. This will make it easier to contact people and find information.

Privy Council Office (PCO)

  • The guide for promotional products is on GCpedia, for banners, carousels etc.
  • There's good training opportunities available in the upcoming days and months.
  • Please share opportunities in the Slack channel


Training this past August:

  • Let’s calculate a metric together.
  • Please reach out in Slack or contact Mary Beth Baker by email.
  • There’s interesting development in Adobe analytics to discuss, interesting progress
  • The training channel in Slack is called #events-training-formation-événements

Question from the floor:

Are there any notes for the Service Pack being released?

Answer:

  • Adobe experience service pack routine update this Saturday. Some new accessibility pieces, notes will be included.
  • AEM reps should have received an email update. Production freeze on Saturday. Don’t use “publish later”
  • If an update is critical, Principal Publisher can do it, contact them. Everything should be done by 4pm Saturday. Then back to normal.
  • Contact info for Principal Publisher Service Desk: Use the request form or at 1-844-243-3932 to contact PP so they can publish on your behalf.

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)

New campaign page launched:

  • CARM: The new way to assess and pay duties and taxes on imported commercial goods (www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca)
  • GCRA : la nouvelle façon d'évaluer et de payer les droits et taxes sur les marchandises commerciales importées (www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca)

Global Affairs Canada (GAC)

Launched a response page in response to the Conflict in Israel.

  • Canada’s response to the crisis in Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip
  • Réponse du Canada à la crise en Israël, Cisjordanie et bande de Gaza

We've noticed some interesting trends on content that users are interested in. We're working with our Strat Comm colleagues to address them.

Also, thank you to everyone at Principal Publisher who reached out to support us over the last couple of days.Working on update about the conflict in the Middle East. Also lots of traffic around Canada’s policy on Palestine.

We're adding more content about flights. Situation is very fluid and fast moving. Should know more about potential products on Friday.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC)

Holding accessibility meetings Oct 18.
