What is GCmessage?
GCmessage is a pilot instant messaging service developed and managed by the Digital Collaboration Division (Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat). Sign up for Message and join any chat room that is relevant to you, or create an open or closed group for your team or project! You also have the option to chat directly with other users on Message. Message is based on the open source platform, RocketChat, which uses chatrooms to organize discussions.
How-to Start Using GCmessage
Internet Browser (on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.)
- Go to message.gccollab.ca
- Click the button labelled "Login" and log in using your GCcollab account
- Start using Message!
Mobile App (on Android and iOS Devices)
- Android: Download Rocket.Chat+ from Google Play
- iOS: Download Rocket.Chat+ from the App Store
- When you open the app, enter message.gccollab.ca as the server
- Login using your GCcollab account information
- Start using GCmessage!
