Research and Experimentation Team at OCHRO

About Us:

What We Do
The Research and Experimentation Team at the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer (OCHRO) supports a future-ready public service and shapes a more inclusive and sustainable people management agenda for the Government of Canada through strategic planning and policy advice, research, human centered design and behavioural science, experimentation and engagement.

Our strategic advice is outcome-based, evidence and risk informed, and centered on the real experiences of public servants. Our approach to research involves collaboration, experimentation, iteration, and establishing trust with our partners. We focus on people first design such as human centered design and behavioural insights that results enduring change. We also leverage important work being done outside of OCHRO in the future of work (FoW) and HR spaces and convene, support, and champion other groups that share our vision and values.

We communicate our findings through various products including policy briefs, research reports, e-scans, targeted research studies, decks and placemats.
