HPFB BSN Mandate

The HPFB BSN is a branch-wide scientific community of practice that promotes science excellence, provides leadership and advice on horizontal science issues, highlights scientific needs and facilitates science-policy integration in the Branch.

HPFB BSN Objectives

1. to promote awareness and recognition of HPFB’s scientific community and their contributions to the health of Canadians;

2. to raise awareness and promote conversations within HPFB of internal and external science activities, technologies and new discoveries that could potentially impact the regulatory landscape;

3. to identify and provide potential solutions for operational challenges affecting the science community;

4. to create opportunities for communication and technology transfer that will contribute to science-based decision making;

5. to act as a conduit for the sharing of important science based information with senior management;

6. to provide a forum for HPFB scientific staff to network, communicate, collaborate, and share ideas;

7. to develop common standards of best practices.
