Our Goals
We are looking to immediately fill multiple indeterminate (permanent) and term AS-02 and AS-03 positions in Gatineau, Toronto, Halifax, Vancouver and Montreal. Through this job process, you will be able to apply to different career streams that match your interests.
Our streams are: Administrative Assistant or Coordinator (AS-02), Team Supervisor (AS-03), Business Analyst (AS-03), Project Coordinator (AS-03) and Administrative Officer (AS-03). You can apply to one or more career stream in your application on GCjobs in the ‘Screening question’ section. For more details on each career stream, you can refer to Job information and the PSC.
Once all assessments are complete, we will be creating a list of qualified candidates which will be used to staff positions at the Public Service Commission.

Note: The timeline is only an estimate and can be subject to change during the assessment process.
September 2023
📢 Information sessions will be offered on September 20 at 6:30 pm (EST) in French and September 21 at 6:30 pm (EST) in English, 2023. (ADD LINK)
📝 You can apply online between September 19 and 25, 2023. (ADD LINK)
🧠 Public Service Entrance Exam: Test of Judgement: You will be invited to complete the online test via e-mail. For more information on the test, including sample questions, please visit the Test of Judgement page.
💻 Second language evaluation: you will be invited to complete the online Test of Written Expression and the online Test of Reading Comprehension.
October 2023
📃 Screening phase: your answers to the screening questions will be evaluated by human resources advisors and subject matter experts. Candidates must meet all essential education and experience qualifications.
November 2023
✏️ Written test: You will be invited to complete an online written exam through the Vidcruiter platform. The following competencies will be assessed:
- Ability to communicate in writing
- Attention to detail
🗣️ Interview: You will be invited to complete an online interview using the Vidcruiter platform. The following competencies will be assessed:
- Ability to communicate orally
- Judgement (Thinking Things Through)
- Working effectively with others
- Showing initiative and being action-oriented
- Mobilize people (Ability to supervise) - For the Team Supervisor Stream only!
December 2023
🤝 Virtual Staffing Event: We will be inviting candidates to meet hiring managers, where conditional job offers may be made.
💼 References: References will be conducted following the Staffing Event for selected candidates.
☎️Oral Second Language Evaluations: You will be assessed for your second language oral ability.
