  • Continuing to look at Exposure App with CDS which should launch late next week
  • F/P/T meeting tomorrow:
    • how provinces and territories are dealing with travel in Canada
    • presentation from HC on data visualization, which will also be presented at TMC on Wednesday
  • DTO Communique and Web Managers email will go out late this week

Health Canada

  • Looking at multilingual content and where to focus our efforts
  • Working on creating guidance document on Care of residents and long-term care homes
  • Creating videos on:
    • ArriveCan app
    • Hand washing

PCO

  • Meeting of Travel working group
  • If anyone knows of travel content or travel related content, please contact Mary-Beth or Dimitrios (Global Affairs)
    • Understand how top tasks affect travel content

  • No updates, just working on operational things
2. GC Design system changes - David Pepin (DTO)

We have made the following changes to the GC Design System:

1. Global header and footer

On June 25th, we moved the detailed design and requirements for header and footer to the design system library, and modified the small screen version of the global header.

2. Theme and topic templates

On June 30th, we added a new beta version of the Theme and topic template. This is a mandatory template. Once it moves out of beta, you will be given a deadline to implement it, so you can start using it now if you want.

  • Walked through the research, guidance, and how to code
  • Discussion around carousels
  • Showed how to find the design system

3. Roundtable:
  • What’s coming this week?

CRA

  • Updating CERB, CESB  and CEWS
  • Worked on alert guidance document for their team. As soon as it finalized, they will be send it to DTO to share widely.

IRCC

  • Have started a mini challenge for IRCC to eliminate alerts and incorporate into Web content

ISED

  • Very excited about structured data on the Contact us page. Getting lots of feedback on it.

Canadian Heritage

  • Wrapped up Canada Day, looking at analytics and creating follow up reports
  • Looking for a way to extract data into a report
  • Launching Emergency Fund

Health

  • Pilot project to start doing more prototyping within the team. Working with Peter Smith ( DTO).

TBS Public Safety and Military

  • Response to COVID page
  • Any digital tool or app that is related to COVID, should be featured on this page
