What are we up to?

As you know, The Canada School of Public Service (CSPS) is currently in the process of procuring a new modern digital learning platform to deliver the Next Generation of Learning. The goal of this Agile procurement process in collaboration with Public Service and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is to assess our top two highest scoring vendors, D2L Brightspace and SAP SuccessFactors which recently delivered prototypes.

Next steps

200 testers from over 35 departments and agencies will assess both D2L Brightspace’s and SAP SuccessFactor’s prototypes. With their help, we will be able to find the best solution possible to provide you and the rest of the public service with the best learning experience possible. Each tester will be given access to the two prototypes with scripts. These scripts will help assess the prototypes and provide individual scores for each one of the vendors. Testers will be helping us evaluate the following:

  • Capabilities (functions) in different areas based on the scenarios;
  • Overall usability of the experience and interfaces
  • Accessibility (WCAG) of the systems; and
  • The quality of Official Languages of the various prototypes.

The testing period will end in mid-june.

You may also consult our Information session’s presentation that as held between May 18 to May 29, 2020.

What will the CSPS do with your testing?

Once all the scores are gathered and combined with the financial submissions, we will then determine the highest-scoring vendor. The winning vendor will then be awarded the final contract, and implementation of the new platform will begin.

How can you reach us?

You may send us questions via our generic mailbox!

The Canada School of Public Service would like to thank everyone who registered to be a tester.
